Hope in the Hills Christian Church is led by a team of elders,
deacons and congregational representatives who are endorsed by the church community.
The key role of Leadership Council is to guide the vision and direction of the church, oversee pastoral care and teaching and ensure church members are equipped for their ministry roles.
They represent Jesus amongst his people, guiding and caring through his Word.
Leo is our Pastor. Leo is married to Elisabeth and they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. Leo has over 33 years of experience as a minister, with qualifications in ministry, psychology and coaching. He loves to teach the Bible so people can see the wonder and graciousness of God in Jesus, as well as train and mentor others to discover and excel in their own ministry. Leo is deeply passionate about issues of justice and care for the sufferer, the broken and the abused. His key role in the church is to be a teacher equipper of the community providing oversight of pastoral care and leadership.
Glenn is married to Coralyn and they have 2 grown sons. Glenn has many years of experience as a minister, with a passion for biblical truth, mission, pastoral care, meeting people and smoking meats! He loves Jesus and sharing His redemptive story.
Glenn is developing our small group ministy and encouraging our church’s dependence on prayer. He is also instrumental in guiding the direction of our community and mentoring our staff.
Josh is our Children’s and Youth Coordinator. He has been a member of Hope in the Hills since his childhood, previously serving as Worship Director and Deacon. Josh loves welcoming and connecting new families into the church community – because we are all the church! Outside of his role at Hope in the Hills, Josh plays oboe for Orchestra Victoria. He and his wife Nomes have three children.
Erin is our Administry worker and Childsafe coordinator. Her role is to provide the ministry teams with admin support, manage the volunteer rosters, publish the newsletter and other documents and make sure things run smoothly. She, and her husband Jason, have been members of Hope for 6 years. Erin also serves in the worship bands and can often be found hanging out at the kids activities with her four children.
