Giving

Through the Bible we see a regular pattern of Gods people giving toward His kingdom work through their  local communities. We do this in three ways.

TITHING

Traditionally, this has been the way most Partners give to the work of the church. People set aside a given amount of money each week/fortnight/month/year paid through direct debit into the church account or cash can be put in an envelope marked Hope in the Hills and placed in the offering bags on a Sunday. This supports the running of the church including staffing, facilities, insurances and ministry costs.

OFFERINGS

These are announced each week and go to an external cause. They are often focused on the needs in our world – either local, national or international. Each week this in announced in Hope News and on Sundays. This can be done electronically or through cash in the offering bags.

DONATIONS

These gifts may support the general ministry of Hope in the Hills as one-off donations, be directed toward specific local projects, such as building needs, facilities or ministry. It may also be for international work through our partnerships with Bethesda in the Solomon Islands or HopeBuilders in Uganda, or to the work of the Deacons in caring for practical needs.

Hope in the Hills thanks our loving God for His entire creation - including the land upon which we worship today. We thank God for the Wurundjeri people as the Traditional Custodians of this land and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty of these lands and waters have never been ceded. Before God, we commit to prayer, a journey of reconciliation and friendship through the grace of His Son, Jesus, and the unity of His Spirit.
