What to Expect
New to Hope in the Hills?
We know walking into a new place can be a bit daunting. Look out for our greeters at the front doors - they are there to welcome you, help you find a seat, tell you about our kids' programs, or to answer any other questions. So that you know a little before you arrive, we are a relaxed, contemporary family church where everyone is welcome.

What to wear
There is no set dress code and we are not big on formalities so wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
The Teaching
Our teaching is always based on the Bible, faithful to our traditions and roots.
The Music
Our music spans a broad range from classic hymns and choruses to recent contemporary songs. We aim to use songs that have sound biblical content, are musical and good for a congregation to sing. We are blessed with many gifted musicians, singers and tech people. You can listen to our collection on Apple Music or Spotify.

Kids & Families
Kids and families are a big part of our community and are very welcome. We have a family space in the church if you need it but children are always welcome in the service. We run a creche and our kids' program, God'sown, for part of the service. This includes games, activities, craft and learning. A leader will announce when it is time for kids to leave and you are welcome to take your children across to the hall to participate.
The Community
Our community is very friendly and we value intergenerational connections. We like to gather together, particularly around food and good coffee, and have many avenues for people to connect. We meet for coffee across in the hall after the service where there is always good food and a warm drink. On the first Sunday of the month, our Deacon Sunday, we also serve barista coffee and hot chocolate. These Sundays are an opportunity to give to the work of our Deacons in the community. We also have other groups that meet for connection, growth and fun. Check out some of these on our Ministries page.

Travel
We have parking onsite at the rear and front of the property. You can also park on Clifford Grove or in the side street opposite, if there is no space left. Tecoma train station is also only a short walk away.
